We would like to extend a warm welcome to this unique meeting focusing on the latest techniques and innovation in the field of colorectal cancer. The symposium will feature talks, debates, streamed live surgery and hands on training on colorectal cancer and liver metastasis by international faculty and local experts at the Stellenbosch University Faculty of Medicine and Health Science. New surgical approaches to rectal cancer, such as the Tamis TME, and the minimally invasive treatment of colorectal liver metastasis will be highlighted. This promises to be an informative meeting with open discussion and robust debate around the optimal approach and decision making in these complicated patients.

Pre symposium workshops will aid in a more intimate understanding of the techniques being discussed and allow for skills acquisition on both cadaver and live tissue-training models.

This meeting is endorsed by both the SACRS, HPBASA and SASES.
